STSS’s Stainless Steel Precision Foil standard will be implemented in February 2023.

The "Stainless Steel Precision Foil" standard, prepared by Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co. (STSS) and several other units, has been officially approved and published by Chinese authorities, with implementation scheduled for February 1, 2023.

The standard defines stainless steel precision foil as cold-rolled stainless steel strip with a thickness not exceeding 0.05 mm, and clearly specifies the types, dimensions, shapes, allowable deviations, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. The standard number is GB/T 41608-2022.
